The Spring, Texas native compiled an impressive 9.700 score on her Floor routine to help the Ladies to a second place finish behind Central Michigan, defeating Wisconsin-La Crosse and Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Sunday.
Crowley competed on Floor, Vault and Beam in both scheduled meets last week, but was honored as a Specialist on the Floor with her strong showing. Her career-best on Floor came a year ago in a 9.750 effort at TWU's tri-meet.
This is the first weekly award announced by the MIC and first gymnast honored under first-year head coach Jackie Fain.
"Meg has worked diligently all fall to put herself in the best shape possible going into season. We choreographed a new, more artistic floor routine to highlight her original style, and she has added two new tumbling passes this year," said Fain. "Obviously it has paid off right away! Meg is the kind of athlete every coach dreams about; she is very coachable, has a great work ethic, excels in her academics and is very involved on campus. I couldn't be more excited for Meg to receive this honor and we are thrilled to be off to such a great start!"
Nominations are made by the conference's Sports Information Directors. The Ladies will return to action on Jan. 21 when they travel to TWU to compete in a quad meet featuring TWU, Oklahoma, and Utah State.
