Prior to Centenary: Played both point guard and shooting guard for head coach Daron Scott and Kevin Reed at Friendswood HS. Ponia received All-Tournament honors in 2017... In 2018, was recognized Second Team All-District, Team MVP, and the Lady Mustang Award.... Academically, received Academic All-District in 2017 and 2018 and Academic All-State in 2018.

Personal: Birthday is July 13 and was born in New Delhi, India... Daughter of Don-Yae and Anuj Ponia, Priya has one brother, Anil... At Centenary, majoring in biology.
